I will follow you and your kids around at the Kansas City Zoo for a day while capturing the day's events. A friend suggested this idea to me and I thought it was brilliant. Too often kids get bored and can't sit for long periods to get their photo taken. This is a great way to give your children a break between photos.
I will follow you and your kids around the zoo for approximately 5 hours in that time I'll take 70% candid photography and 30% posed photos in all the various areas around the Kansas City Zoo, giving your children the ability to have fun while stopping at various times to get their photos taken.
After your special day, I will go home to review and edit the photos. I will create a preview video which will highlight the best photos of the day. Once you have had the chance to watch the preview video, please let us know if you like the photos or not. If you are not completely satisfied with the photos, then you have two options. We can either do a re-shoot or do nothing at all. It's up to you!
Your satisfaction is guaranteed! Pay nothing if your not completely satisfied. †
Once I have received your payment, I will send you a CD containing digital copies of the photos along with a print release giving you the ability to have the photos printed at the place of your choice. You should receive the CD containing the photos in the mail within 2 weeks of payment.

How many people will be taking pictures?
I will be the only photographer there however someone may accompany me to help me.

Yes, ride the African Sky Safari. I'm afraid of heights. :-D
Can I reschedule if something were to come up?
I will happily reschedule as long as I'm given at least 24 hours notice.
What if the weather isn't perfect?
Sorry, I can't control the weather so please take that into consideration. You will need to decide prior to the appointment if the weather is tolerable. However, the one exception I have is that I will not be able to take photos on rainy days therefore I will have to reschedule with you on a day that isn't rainy. Rain + Cameras do not mix.
What type of day is better for photography? Sunny or cloudy?
Actually cloudy days are the best days for outdoor photography. They create less hash shadows. And the added bonus is that it makes for a cooler day. I will say sunny days are not completely bad. Both have their own pros and cons. We can't always choose the weather. We just have to make do.
Can I bring friends and family along for the day?
Of course. That is certainly up to you. Just keep in mind the more people in the group, the less focus on just you and your kids. The number of people is totally up to you. I'm just there to capture photos of the group.
Do I have to be in the photos or can it just be my children only?
I will do what ever you want however I will say that your children will appreciate it later in life if you are in some of the photos with them. Photos are not just for us but for our future generations. Photos capture a moment in time and it's nice to be able to recall those memories through photos. I hate looking at myself in photos so I can relate but I will say I'm fascinated when I see what my great great grandparents looked like and the only way I can do that today is because they were in photos. When I'm feeling like I don't want my picture taken, I have to remind myself to get over my own insecurities and do this for future generations. I am who I am and I want my future relatives to know what I looked like.
What should we wear?
My only suggestion is wear something you're comfortable in. It will most likely be hot so something you and your children can survive the heat while walking around all day. I do advise with younger children that you do possibly pack a back up shirt in case they get dirty at any point during the day.
How much prior notice should I give when scheduling my appointment?
I would ask that you give me a few days notice. I'm available most days however I will need time to make sure I have everything ready. Please give me at least 2 to 3 days prior notice that you're interested in attending the zoo in the next few days.
What days are you available?
I'm usually available all 7 days of the week.
